  • SHRM Works to Meet Future Workforce Needs

    The Society for Human Resource Management recently collaborated with the Partnership to create a new brochure which provides evidence to support that improving our nation's workforce pipeline starts with quality early childhood. This brochure includes data to build the case that the nation's future labor force will not meet business needs and that additional early childhood investments are needed to improve skills, job readiness and economic competitiveness.

  • Study Rethinks Importance of Kindergarten Teachers

    This July 27, 2010 New York Times article highlights a new study demonstrating the importance, and value, of high-quality early education teachers—in this case, kindergarten. Among the major findings, a student who had a good kindergarten teacher can earn $1,000 more annually by age 27 than one wit han average teacher. Read the story at Times' Web site.
